Manchester United sack Jose Mourinho

Manchchester United have reportedly sacked their manager, Jose Mourinho. In a statement released by the club on Tuesday morning which read:"Manager Jose Mourinho has left the club with immediate effect", we wish to thank Jose for his work during his time in charge of Manchester United and to wish him success in the future.

A new caretaker boss will be hired by the club to oversee the running of the team and to also allow for a robust  search for a new permanent manager to be hired next season. Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane are currently the front-runners for the vacant managerial position.

Manchester United director, Ed Woodward had reportedly told Mourinho of his fate on Tuesday morning following their 3-1 defeat at the hands of Liverpool on Sunday which confirmed the club's worst start to a season in over 28 years.
